Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist to join our practice. In this role, you will assess, develop, and implement personalized care plans to improve patients’ mobility, strength, and overall well-being. In this position, you will work with a variety of ages and ability levels in the outpatient clinic setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through compassionate and evidence-based physical therapy practices.
One hour time slots for initial evaluation for treating patients. The schedule is flexible.
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to determine physical capabilities and develop tailored treatment strategies.
- Treating 8-12 patients a day
- Design and implement effective care plans that incorporate physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and exercise programs.
- Assist patients in their recovery process by guiding them through therapeutic exercises aimed at improving mobility, strength, and function.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercises, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health.
- Manage discharge planning by preparing patients for transition from outpatient settings to home or community environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries using WebPT.
- Stay current with advances in therapy techniques and healthcare regulations to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols for various patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and neurological conditions.
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in Massachusetts.
- Experience working in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments with a focus on patient care.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy principles as they relate to musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
- Experience with post-operative care procedures, discharge planning processes, and care plan development.
- Ability to perform detailed assessments involving medical terminology understanding and clinical reasoning.
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques including manual therapy, orthopedic interventions, geriatrics care strategies, pediatrics practices, and community-based rehabilitation programs.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, patients, and family members.
