DescriptionUnder the direction of the CMTS leadership team and supervisory staff, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) will provide safe and effective ambulance-based medical care at the basic life support level. They will respond to requests for ambulance transport of patients between healthcare facilities and other locations, and be able to respond to requests for emergency medical services.

- High school diploma, GED, or other equivalent.
- Currently certified and in good standing as an EMTby the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Public Health (DPH), Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS).
- Must have a minimum of 6 months of experience with PB and/or 911
- Current motor vehicle operators license.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions using the English language.
- Satisfactory CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information).
- Capable of individually lifting, carrying, transferring, and maneuvering up to 125 pounds (approximately 57 kilograms) during routine patient movement and ambulance operations, with or without their ambulance partner.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, transferring, and maneuvering a minimum of 250 pounds (approximately 113 kilograms) during routine patient movement and ambulance operations which includes the weight of the ambulance cot or other patient carrying device with ambulance partner.
