As an MCP Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring our Micro Channel Plates (MCPs) adhere to strict quality, visual, and electrical standards. Your daily tasks will include managing test machinery, preparing and breaking down fixtures, logging data, and assisting with broader production needs. Role Overview

As an MCP Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring our Micro Channel Plates (MCPs) adhere to strict quality, visual, and electrical standards. Your daily tasks will include managing test machinery, preparing and breaking down fixtures, logging data, and assisting with broader production needs. Primary

Duties
  • Utilize testing hardware to confirm that MCP components align with designated visual and electrical benchmarks.
  • Construct and dismantle testing apparatuses following specific production guidelines and work instructions.
  • Ensure test fixtures remain in top working condition through regular cleaning, maintenance, and necessary repairs.
  • Identify potential defects or quality issues to help maintain the high standards of our final products.
  • Document all inspection findings and test results to ensure accurate production reporting.
  • Input essential data into our digital tracking systems and internal databases.
  • Safely manage delicate and high-precision parts to minimize the risk of contamination or physical damage.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards to help foster a secure and compliant workplace for everyone.
  • Keep your workstation tidy and organized to support a safe and efficient environment.
  • Assist the team with inventory management and cycle counting tasks as necessary.
  • Support the team by actively participating in our ISO 9001-based Quality Management System.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure clear communication regarding process updates or test outcomes.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to support overall operations.
Requirements
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Foundational knowledge regarding electrical testing tools and measurement techniques.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting or relevant technical training is a plus.
  • Background in electronics manufacturing, cleanroom work, inspection, or quality control is highly valued.
  • Basic computer literacy, specifically regarding data entry and record keeping.
  • Capability to interpret and apply written work instructions and quality standards.
  • A consistent approach to performing repetitive tasks with high precision.
  • A sharp eye for detail to ensure the highest quality of work is delivered to the team.
  • Proficiency in performing mathematical calculations and unit conversions.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Desired Competencies
  • Background in troubleshooting or testing scientific, semiconductor, or electronic detector products.
  • Experience working with analog and digital testing instrumentation.
  • Strong visual acuity to help the team catch irregularities or defects early.
  • Experience operating inspection tools, microscopes, or scanning measurement equipment.
  • Excellent manual dexterity for handling fragile or small-scale components.
  • Strong organizational habits to ensure all documentation remains accurate and accessible.
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment when reporting potential nonconformances to leadership.
  • Previous experience operating within a cleanroom manufacturing facility.
  • The ability to work autonomously while remaining a collaborative team member.
  • A dependable, focused, and quality-driven mindset.
  • A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement within an ISO 9001 framework.
