Job Summary
Global Partners is seeking a Food Service Supervisor / Deli Lead to direct and supervise all deli and food service activities, ensuring merchandising, sales, and guest service goals are met.
Responsibilities- Direct department personnel, meet departmental goals and objectives, and communicate directly with store management and department supervisors.
- Select, onboard, and coach all new team members.
- Schedule all team members.
- Offer product information, provide selling suggestions, conduct active sampling, and thank guests.
- Take guest orders and ensure timely, satisfactory completion.
- Ensure personnel follow all county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards.
- Oversee preparation and serving/merchandising of deli and food service items, including breakfast, lunch, dinner entrees, fried foods, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, grill items, beverages, and snacks.
- Display items according to departmental and company merchandising guidelines.
- Follow product recipes precisely.
- Rotate deli/food service items to maintain quality, safety, and control shrink.
- Receive merchandise, audit invoices, break down orders, and position cases in storage areas or walk‑in coolers/freezers.
- Periodically count product for inventory purposes.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
- Process cash register transactions, give correct change, and issue refunds.
- Operate scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct.
- Monitor product pricing, signage, placement, shelf tags, and shelf signage.
- Maintain clean, neat, and orderly sales counters, prep areas, shelving, and coolers/freezers.
- Ensure all personnel use proper safety equipment and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Manage deli ingredients such as meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- At least 2 years of prior experience in a fresh food environment, preferably in a managerial role.
- Must have reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
- Serv‑Safe certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and work in walk‑in coolers and freezers.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, bend and twist below the waist, and frequently lift or maneuver merchandise and supplies. Reach above shoulder height and use equipment such as knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries with dexterity.
$17.66 – $20.87 per hour, based on experience, skill level, and location. Company reserves the right to modify base salary.
