Job SummaryThe Limited Term Employee (LTE) Address Sign Installation Technician supports public safety and emergency response readiness by verifying, installing, and replacing rural address signage throughout the County. The role requires field-based work, independent decision-making, and coordination with team members to ensure signage is accurate, properly placed, and visible from public roadways.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Attention to Detail: Ensures sign accuracy and correct property alignment during installation.
- Field Navigation: Effectively operates in various outdoor environments using maps or digital location tools.
- Technical Proficiency: Operates small power tools and mobile tracking systems accurately.
- Problem Solving: Identifies installation issues and determines suitable corrective actions independently.
- Collaboration: Works effectively with team members and supervisors to meet installation targets.
- Safety Awareness: Understands and follows utility marking standards and field safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience operating small power tools and hand tools.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer tracking or data entry systems.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in variable outdoor conditions.
- Familiarity with Diggers Hotline utility marking protocols.
- Previous experience in signage installation, construction, or related field work.
- Experience working with global positioning systems (GPS) or geographic information system (GIS)-based field tools.
- Knowledge of rural addressing systems and emergency response mapping.
