Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Sturgis, MI. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll review, and month-end closing activities. The Financial Controller prepares, analyzes, and presents financial statements and reports to support strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

The role includes budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost analysis to support operational efficiency and profitability. The Financial Controller collaborates with leadership and department managers, supports audits, implements internal controls, and recommends process improvements to strengthen financial integrity.
Qualifications

• Strong accounting and finance skills, including experience with general ledger accounting and Finance fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret Financial Statements and perform accurate Financial Reporting.
• Excellent Analytical Skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, and advanced skills in spreadsheet and financial modeling tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit practices, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support leadership decisions.
