This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. The Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHS&S) Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS&S programs. The position ensures full compliance with corporate policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a safe work environment and minimizing risk to employees, property, and the surrounding community.

• Lead and manage plant-wide Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) programs in alignment with corporate, divisional, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Corporate, Federal, State, and local EHS laws and regulations
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and maintain strong, cooperative relationships
• Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to management and staff on EHS&S matters
• Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees and safeguard the surrounding community and environment
• Develop and deliver high-quality EHS&S training programs for employees at all levels
• Conduct audits of EHS&S programs, identify improvement areas, and ensure timely corrective actions
• Evaluate new equipment, materials, chemicals, processes, and procedures for EHS&S compliance
  
  Oversee and coordinate emergency response activities for the site
• Manage EHS&S and security budgets and ensure effective resource allocation
• Supervise and support a team of 11 employees
