This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Work On- Maintenance of product level in filler.
- Ensure proper operating parameters for filler, seamer, and can washer.
- Perform preventative maintenance on filler and seamer.
- Ensure commodities are released prior to usage.
- Perform visual inspection.
- Ensure proper cleaning methods are used during a wash job.
- Maintain inventory counts of commodities used during each batch.
- Set up equipment according to packing requirements and adjust as necessary during production.
- Load commodities into equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and work stations.
- Perform and document quality checks and preventative maintenance.
You will be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma / GED
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to read gauges and instruments
- Ability to prepare simple reports and follow routine machine operations
- Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, decimals, divide, fractions, proportions)
- Entry-level manufacturing or equivalent experience
- Safety training
- Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) training
- Forklift license
- Quality inspection, documentation, and inventory control experience

The base pay for this position is $17.15 – $34.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
