This is a full‑time, on‑site Folder Gluer Operator role based in Sturgis, MI. The Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring folder gluer machines to produce high‑quality packaging according to specifications. Day‑to‑day tasks include performing machine changeovers, adjusting settings for different materials and formats, inspecting finished cartons for quality, and troubleshooting basic mechanical issues. The role also involves following safety and maintenance procedures, maintaining accurate production records, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet schedule and quality standards.
The operator is expected to support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
- Experience operating folder gluer or similar packaging machinery, with skills in machine setup, adjustment, and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, including the ability to read job tickets, specifications, and basic production documentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices, quality control procedures, and good housekeeping standards in a production environment.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods, lift and move materials as required, and perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, and other production team members.
- Reliability in attendance, time management, and meeting production deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prior experience in folding carton, print, or packaging manufacturing is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or machine operation is a plus.
