We are seeking an experienced Advanced Quality Engineer to lead quality planning and new product launch activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to develop robust manufacturing processes, implement effective quality systems, and ensure products consistently meet customer and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product launches.
  • Develop and maintain PPAPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
  • Drive root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Monitor process capability (SPC, Cp/Cpk) and implement error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality, reduce risk, and support successful product launches.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and 8D methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems preferred.
  • Experience in plastics, blow molding, injection molding, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
