We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team in Sturgis, SD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role involves conducting safety inspections, training staff, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of the workplace.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of safety activities, incidents, and training sessions.
• Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety.
• Stay current with industry best practices and safety regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Safety Specialist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is a plus.

This position is based in Sturgis, SD, and may require travel to various job sites. The Safety Specialist will work closely with multiple departments to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
