• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly.
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
• Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing registers at shift end.
• Up sell products and suggest add-ons through engaging product demos and friendly communication to increase sales.
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, stock shelves, and ensure merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising and stocking techniques.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries from customers or vendors.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting product demos when appropriate, and supporting restocking efforts.

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or convenience retail environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in managing team tasks or training new staff.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations including merchandising, stocking, and product placement strategies.
• Excellent phone etiquette skills combined with a friendly demeanor to foster positive customer interactions.
