Chief Financial Officer

Headquartered in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, TESC Contracting Company Ltd is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help lead the organization through its next phase of growth, operational excellence, and long-term strategic success.

For more than 50 years, TESC Contracting Company Ltd. has been a trusted partner to clients across Canada's industrial sector, delivering integrated construction, maintenance, fabrication and specialty services in some of the country's most complex operating environments.

TESC provides integrated industrial services that support the full lifecycle of client operations, from capital construction and major shutdowns to sustaining maintenance, fabrication, specialty access, and emergency response. The Chief Financial Officer will play a central role in that journey. Beyond leading the finance function, the successful candidate will help shape strategic planning, capital investment decisions, operational performance, governance, and enterprise-wide decision-making while serving as a trusted advisor to the President & CEO and executive leadership team.

The Chief Financial Officer is viewed as a strategic business partner, providing financial leadership while contributing to commercial strategy, operational planning, governance, risk management, and organizational growth. The CFO will lead a well-established team of 20+ professionals as well as an outsourced IT team.

Recognizing that no one candidate is likely to meet all of the following qualifications in equal measure, the following experience and qualifications are desirable and will be used in the assessment of candidates for the position:

• CPA designation or equivalent professional designation required
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in industrial construction, EPC,

mining, energy or infrastructure environments.

• Strong understanding of project-based accounting, construction contracts, and risk management.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with operations and executive leadership teams.
• Advanced financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, commercial risk management, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial analytics, and business intelligence tools.

• Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, field-driven organization.
• Strategic thinker with strong business and financial acumen and execution discipline.
• Commercially astute and comfortable navigating complex, high-risk environments.
• Ability to balance strategic objectives with operational priorities.
• Clear, credible communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Hands-on leader who understands the realities of construction and field operations
• Values-driven, collaborative, and committed to building long-term organizational capability.
