Canacre is seeking an experienced Environmental Monitor to join our team in Sudbury. In this role, you will coordinate compliance activities, perform wildlife monitoring, and implement mitigation measures during construction. Your expertise in environmental sciences and your strong communication skills will ensure successful project outcomes and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily inspections of construction activities and attend meetings
• Monitor wildlife as needed, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Implement mitigation measures from environmental protection plans
• Inspect erosion and sediment control measures and advise on repairs
• Oversee soils handling and coordinate with construction teams
Requirements:
• Post-secondary in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in environmental roles
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations
• Valid Driver’s License and insurability
