Lead mining geochemistry and water quality work with Stantec in Burnaby, Victoria, Sidney, Markham, or Waterloo. Bring advanced analysis and technical leadership.
Stantec seeks a Senior Geochemist with mine waste characterization or water quality experience. The position supports environmental projects through baseline characterization, assessments, modelling, monitoring, and technical reporting. You will collaborate with geochemists, hydro-geologists, engineers, and water quality specialists on mining projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Support geochemical and water quality project components
- Analyze data and create technical visualizations
- Lead multidisciplinary teams on water-related mining projects
- Advise engineering teams on mitigation strategies
- Prepare reports and perform technical document QA/QC
- Bachelor’s degree in geochemistry, hydrology, hydrogeology, or earth sciences
- Ten or more years of relevant mining consulting experience
- Knowledge of Canadian and provincial water quality requirements
- Professional registration or eligibility as P.Geo. or P.Eng.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
