Service Technician for Water Operations

Location: Greater Sudbury

Join the City of Greater Sudbury as a Service Technician focused on Water Operations. This role involves both maintenance and operational tasks for water treatment facilities.

Reporting to supervisors in the Water and Wastewater Services Division, this permanent position requires a qualified technician to maintain engine-driven equipment and fleet vehicles. Key responsibilities include conducting repairs, ordering parts, and using CMMS for tracking maintenance effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform corrective maintenance on facility equipment

• Take operational samples and maintain records

• Utilize mechanical tools for repairs

• Document facility equipment performance

• Assist in training new facility staff

Requirements:

• Completed Secondary School education

• Certifications in Heavy Duty Equipment and Automotive Service

• At least three years of relevant diesel generator experience

• Ensure safety regulations compliance

• Capable of lifting weights up to 22.68 kg
