Hoist Operator

We are currently seeking experienced Hoist Operators to join our team at Levack Mine. As a direct employee with Magna Mining, employees on these fixed term contracts are eligible for benefits and RRSP contributions during the fixed term period.

Responsibilities:

• Operate hoist to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials and personnel.
• Perform pre-operational and routine inspections of hoisting equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, operational, and compliant with Ontario mining regulations and safety standards before use.
• Review, maintain, and accurately complete hoist logs and inspection records.
• Follow all safety regulations, site procedures, and approved signaling methods.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other stakeholders.
• Identify, report, and document equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety hazards.
• Monitor equipment for wear, damage, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas around hoist equipment.

Qualifications:

Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner - Common Core

• Minimum of 6 months of experience.

Hourly Rate: $42.14
