Field Mechanic

Position: Field Mechanic – Boart Longyear
Location: Greater Sudbury

Step into a rewarding position as a Field Mechanic for Boart Longyear, working from our Hailbury facility in Ontario. This role is essential for ensuring the functionality of our diverse drilling equipment fleet.

At Boart Longyear, located in Haileybury, you will engage in all aspects of drilling equipment maintenance and servicing. As a Field Mechanic, you'll troubleshoot and repair various machines while collaborating with teams across multiple locations, including Northern Ontario and British Columbia. Your expertise in equipment performance will be pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on-site

• Ensure equipment is compliant with safety regulations

• Coordinate with other departments for work efficiency

• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance work

• Recommend improvements to boost productivity

Requirements:

• Red Seal Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Certification required

• 3+ years of relevant experience needed

• High School education or equivalent mandatory

• Valid driver's license with proof upon hiring

• Basic Safety Orientation or certification preferred
