Maintenance Technician – Sudbury (£28,000 - £35,000)
As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the upkeep and repair of machinery, vehicles, buildings, and site infrastructure across a busy operational site. Reporting to the Repairs and Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring minimal downtime and keeping operations running efficiently. This is a varied, hands‑on role involving both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as supporting wider site operations when required.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned servicing, inspections, and reactive repairs on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
- Maintain and repair vehicles, plant, and site machinery
- Support building and structural maintenance across the site
- Assist with the upkeep of site systems, including heating and infrastructure
- Help plan and deliver preventative maintenance schedules
- Sourcing parts and assist with stock control of maintenance supplies
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete timesheets
- Work closely with other departments to support operational needs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company policies and legislation
- Use PPE correctly and maintain a safe working environment
- Experience in maintenance, mechanical, agricultural, or engineering environments
- Mechanically minded with strong fault‑finding ability
- Experience working with machinery, vehicles, or site equipment
- Organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Proactive and problem‑solving approach
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Flexible and willing to support wider site operations when needed
- Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
- Full‑time, permanent role
