Maintenance Technician – Sudbury (£28,000 - £35,000)

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the upkeep and repair of machinery, vehicles, buildings, and site infrastructure across a busy operational site. Reporting to the Repairs and Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring minimal downtime and keeping operations running efficiently. This is a varied, hands‑on role involving both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as supporting wider site operations when required.

• Carry out planned servicing, inspections, and reactive repairs on machinery and equipment
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
• Maintain and repair vehicles, plant, and site machinery
• Support building and structural maintenance across the site
• Assist with the upkeep of site systems, including heating and infrastructure
• Help plan and deliver preventative maintenance schedules
• Sourcing parts and assist with stock control of maintenance supplies
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete timesheets
• Work closely with other departments to support operational needs
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company policies and legislation
• Use PPE correctly and maintain a safe working environment

• Experience in maintenance, mechanical, agricultural, or engineering environments
• Mechanically minded with strong fault‑finding ability
• Experience working with machinery, vehicles, or site equipment
• Organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Proactive and problem‑solving approach
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• Flexible and willing to support wider site operations when needed

• Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
