Staff Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing is working with a client in the Metro West area of Boston looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This position is on-site 5 days a week and is paying $70K-80K depending on experience.

• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, vendor management, and billing issue resolution while supporting payroll processing and compliance.
• Contribute to monthly/year-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining general ledger accuracy.
• Support financial reporting, KPI tracking, and provide analysis and documentation to leadership, including direct support to the CFO.
• Maintain organized financial records, assist with audits and compliance, manage asset tracking, and identify process improvements across accounting operations.

• Strong Excel skills with high attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communicator with solid interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 1–3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, financial reporting, and accounting software systems.
