History Teacher (.50 FTE)

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District seeks a qualified .50 FTE History Teacher commencing at the start of the  school year to teach a 9th Grade Modern World History class and a 10th Grade Modern America History class.

• Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community
• Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students
• Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior
• Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed
• Communicates with parents to discuss student progress
• Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school
• Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning
• Fulfill other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university
• Licensed, or eligible for licensure in the appropriate field by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement

• 3+ years educational teaching environment
• High School teaching experience

• According to the Teachers' CBA
• Prorate annual salary according to the .50 FTE

• .5 FTE: .25 FTE + .25 FTE Long-Term Substitute
