About the Role
Position:
Technical Product Training Specialist – Connected Aviation, Air Traffic Solutions – Whole Life Engineering Department (ATS‑WLE).
Location:
Marlborough, MA (onsite). U.S. citizenship required. Role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering training materials for air traffic control (ATC) and related systems including STARS and WAAS.
- Design, develop, verify, review, and deliver eLearning and instructor‑led training materials.
- Develop training content from technical documentation and through collaboration with subject‑matter experts.
- Create training plans, slide packages, student guides, instructor guides, lab guides, written exams, performance exams, and related artifacts.
- Use hardware and software in a laboratory environment to gather data, verify procedures, and ensure training accuracy.
- Maintain and manage configuration of source training materials.
- Perform regular updates of training content and ensure effective communication with team and program leads.
- Travel to RTX and customer sites as required.
Learn proven technical training materials development processes, instruction techniques, and effective communication and reporting practices supporting vital air traffic management sustainment.
Qualifications- Typical requirement: STEM degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Technical Training Development experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with operations and maintenance of Air Traffic Control systems.
- Experience creating training materials using eLearning products such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Adobe Author ware.
- Experience conducting technical training sessions.
- Experience working with networking hardware, radar/signal inputs, or IT infrastructure racks and consoles.
- Experience using Solaris or Linux‑based software tools and command terminals.
- Experience utilizing engineering documentation and customer requirements to create training objectives and content.
- Experience performing peer reviews of training materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience collaborating in a team environment.
- Experience providing primary communication of technical information to management, customers, and engineering team members.
