Advanced CNC Milling Engineer
Location: Sudbury, MA
Pay Rate: $37.93 - $51.63 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Advanced CNC Milling Engineer to support customer success and drive revenue growth across North America. This highly technical, customer‑facing role delivers advanced CNC milling expertise through application development, technical sales support, machine demonstrations, and customer training. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on machining knowledge and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert technical support to sales teams from pre‑sale through post‑installation.
- Develop and optimize CNC milling applications in collaboration with Sales, Product Management, OEM partners, and tooling/work holding suppliers.
- Prepare and execute live CNC machine demonstrations, sample parts, and technical documentation.
- Deliver advanced CNC machining and programming training to customers and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining, programming, and application challenges.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and customer technical meetings.
- Build strong customer relationships to support long‑term growth and retention.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Machining, Manufacturing Engineering, Toolmaking, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- Minimum 5 years of advanced CNC machining and programming experience, including extensive 5‑axis milling.
- Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM systems, GD&T, inspection methods, and machining best practices.
- Advanced experience with Fanuc CNC controls.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a customer‑focused role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
50-75% travel across North America; occasional international travel required. Valid driver’s license and passport required.
