We’re looking for a Principal STS Test Development Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
This role supports cross-functional engineering execution, helping teams stay aligned on technical scope, schedule, budget, and delivery milestones.
In this role, you’ll contribute across the engineering lifecycle—from design and development through integration, testing, production support, and sustainment.
What You’ll Do- Lead cross‑functional engineering activities from planning through execution
- Coordinate with program, finance, planning, and technical stakeholders
- Track schedule, budget, risks, and engineering performance
- Support proposals, planning, reviews, and program reporting
- Help teams stay aligned and remove barriers to execution
- Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience in an engineering design and development environment with at least four (4) years of direct experience with Test Equipment design and development tasks
- Experience leading technical teams and projects
- U.S. Citizen
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira/Confluence, and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tracking software
- Experience with decision solving skills
- Experience with National Instruments’ Test Stand, Lab Windows/CVI, and/or LabVIEW Digital, and/or Analog, and/or RF, and/or power supply test hardware design experience
- Experience with routine use and/or automation of commercial test and measurement equipment, i.e. oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, power supplies, etc
- Onsite role in Sudbury, MA
- U.S. Citizenship required
