Hardware Systems Engineer

• Identify potential replacement hardware candidates, conduct trade studies, and choose the device that best meets the requirements.
• Perform preliminary and detailed design activities.
• Conduct testing activities in the lab in support of Engineering Change Proposals, including device‑level bench testing and integration testing.
• Interface with other disciplines (Configuration Management, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain) in support of product development.

• Degree in STEM with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience completing technical documentation for Configuration Control, Change Management, Trade Studies, Preliminary and Detailed Design artifacts and presentations.
• Experience writing detailed verification test plans and test reports.
• Prior experience collaborating in a multi‑functional environment (field engineering, supply chain, suppliers, customers).

• Experience designing with COTS devices.
• Knowledge of Linux and Solaris operating systems.
• Project or Team Lead experience.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.

USD 101,000 – 203,000 per year (good‑faith estimate for all experience levels).
