Role Overview

Electrical Engineer – Radar Analog and Power Department. Onsite role with Raytheon. Requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance obtained before day one.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with a cross‑functional engineering team to develop proven designs based on system performance and operational specifications.
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power system, conversion, and related analog circuitry and distribution products.
  • Resolve production issues related to existing product designs.
  • Advance the department’s mastery of digital power conversion concepts and develop related best practices.
  • Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule.
  • Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff.
  • Engage in personal technical growth and facilitate technical growth in peers.
  • Lead small teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution.
  • Travel to selected locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
  • Minimum 5 years of design and/or production experience with power systems, power conversion, power distribution, power sub‑system design, and/or control systems.
  • Experience modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer‑based tools.
  • Experience with schematic capture CAD package.
  • Hardware development experience in a Department of Defense environment (preferred).
  • Experience with requirements development (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage small teams to achieve schedule, budget, and technical commitments (preferred).
  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports.
  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components.
  • Experience interfacing with procurement, manufacturing, and external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs.
  • Existing security clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Security Clearance

Active DoD Secret clearance is required and must be maintained from day one of employment.
