Senior Electrical Engineer -Radar Processing and Network System Design - Onsite Tewksbury​/Marlb

Raytheon (RTX) is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Radar Digital Products Department's Hardware and Infrastructure team in Marlborough, MA. This on‑site role focuses on creating next‑generation radar solutions using commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS) hardware.

• Design COTS hardware infrastructure systems (e.g., X86‑based processors).
• Research and select servers, workstations, add‑in interface cards, storage devices, and other COTS hardware.
• Develop BIOS and operating system configuration definitions.
• Work in a lab environment with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, processor bus analyzers, emulators, and data capture tools.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering disciplines, supply chain, suppliers, field engineering, on‑site installation teams, and customers to develop and deliver safety‑critical systems.
• Support occasional domestic travel and potential international travel.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience with emerging and legacy hardware and software, including Unix and Linux operating systems.
• Experience developing and implementing computing, networking, and IT infrastructure through a rigorous design and documentation process.
• Ability to take a system design concept from block diagram or requirements level to a complete COTS‑based hardware design, and design verification through integration and test plans.
• U.S. citizenship required; an existing DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
• Fluency in English.
• Preferred: current or in‑progress computing/networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, AWS, CISSP), experience with radar system hardware, firewall design, and network hardening.

• Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 annual.
