Overview
Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC), Surface Radars & Sensors Center department is seeking a highly‑skilled Senior Principal Engineer to lead planning, integration, test, and activation of the SPY‑6A(V) radar system. The role is onsite at the RTX facility in Marlborough, MA.
Responsibilities- Develop strategy, leads integration and test activities for the SPY‑6A(V) radar system.
- Develop plans and provide direction for integration and test team activities.
- Coordinate with I&T CPT Lead, 6A(V) PM, IPT Lead, CE, and LSE.
- Communicate externally and interface with leaders in the 6A(V) customer community.
- Travel up to 15% for integration and test activities at labs, test sites, shipyards, and customer facilities.
- Be a subject‑matter expert in systems integration, verification, and validation.
- Support missions by traveling as needed to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10years of relevant experience.
- Experience in systems engineering, integration, system verification, and/or validation.
- Experience with an integration lab, test facility, and/or field.
- Experience with technical and/or functional leadership.
- Preferred:
Experience in radar integration or on naval radar programs. - Preferred:
Experience working with the U.S. Navy Customer. - Preferred:
Experience deploying technical strategies across multidisciplinary teams. - Preferred:
Familiarity with RLPM, internal reviews, and gate reviews. - Preferred:
Completion of the Test Architect Development Program.
