Senior Electronics Technician
Location:
1001 Boston Post Rd, BLDG 3, Marlbrough, MA. Eligible for relocation.
Job Type: Onsite, Full‑time (40 hours per week).
Security Clearance:
Active DoD Secret clearance required prior to day 1.
- Test, document, and troubleshoot analog and power electronics assemblies, including high‑voltage transmitter systems and Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs).
- Work closely with engineering teams in laboratory and field environments supporting Naval RF and power products.
- Operate test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, AC/DC power sources, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.
- Monitor and document test results, equipment performance, anomalies, and quality‑assurance data.
- Support integration activities, including system‑level testing and troubleshooting.
- Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation (schematics, specifications, work instructions, job aids).
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on transmitter systems and related components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Travel to Tewksbury, MA;
Andover, MA; and/or Pelham, NH, and may require CONUS, OCONUS, or at‑sea assignments.
- B.S. degree in Electronics or related field, or A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology with minimum 7 years of experience; or no degree with minimum 9 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics, electrical hardware fabrication, bread boarding, test, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with high‑voltage electronics and knowledge of safety issues.
- Proficiency with power and digital test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF power probes/meters, function generators, AC/DC power sources).
- Experience with RF electronic components, wave guides, and high‑voltage TWT transmitters.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Hands‑on experience with DC high‑voltage and high‑current systems (10kV or greater).
- Strong electro‑mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to write detailed test reports.
- Experience in engineering and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience troubleshooting/servicing field equipment.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
