- Manage and implement engineering lab strategic projects and day‑to‑day administrative functions across multiple labs, focusing on safety, security, and compliance
- Lead Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) management and provide direction to lab users on established policies
- Coordinate and implement Environmental Health Safety and Sustainment and Property & Metrology Management, including equipment service contracts and ongoing repairs
- Perform cost analysis to ensure tasks are completed within approved budgets
- Process lab purchase requests through SAP, SRM, and Vallen; provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Oversee audit/assessment preparation for Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program, develop corrective action plans, and assist in developing long‑range objectives and engineering customer goals
- Safeguard classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation under Export Administration Regulations
- Develop and implement communication plans; provide consulting support to functional and engineering customer management
- Influence stakeholders inside and outside responsible areas at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem solving
- Perform physical exertion as required (standing, sitting, walking); occasional local and occasional out‑of‑area travel may be required
Required:
- University degree and minimum 5years of relevant experience or advanced degree and minimum 3years of experience
- Experience in an engineering lab environment overseeing or implementing safety, security, compliance, and property management
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Preferred:
- Advanced degree
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills
- Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations
- Experience working directly with engineers, technicians, and leadership in an engineering lab environment on safety, security, compliance, and property management
- Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN, and Foreign Object Elimination
- Ability to organize and track capital and expense assets
- Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers
- Time‑management skills resulting from broad administrative responsibilities
- Lab specific knowledge necessary for access
- Diverse horizontal and vertical communication skills
- Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD (good‑faith estimate)
