The selected candidate will support all contracts for the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS), including sustainment of U.S. military and production of an international contract. The role involves both front‑end and back‑end systems engineering activities, from planning to execution.
Responsibilities- Define and derive systems engineering requirements, including interface definitions and requirement verification and validation.
- Support operations concept definition and procedure planning in collaboration with personnel from multiple organizations.
- Address customer issues by developing system and product level requirements that meet their needs.
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation; perform testing.
- Participate in systems sustainment activities for legacy radar systems, including troubleshooting, documenting, and testing.
- Lead small systems engineering efforts; develop leadership skills.
- Occasional travel to other locations as required.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Must obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued secret security clearance (existing required). U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with Digital Engineering Tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience generating technical documentation, managing small projects, and producing and delivering test artifacts.
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
- Ability to collaborate with IPT leaders, hardware/software engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and customer representatives.
- Experience with IBM DOORS and JIRA.
- Experience supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) government contract.
- Experience working in small teams to meet cost and schedule objectives.
- Experience with both waterfall and Agile development processes.
- Radar domain experience.
- Experience with system engineering product cycle.
- Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
