RTX is seeking a Hardware Electrical Engineer to support the development of advanced electronic systems for defense applications. The role involves designing, documenting, and troubleshooting hardware ranging from RF and digital circuits to power and analog systems, with a focus on systems integration and testing.
Responsibilities- Design RF, digital, power, and analog circuits.
- VHDL design and integration of electronic hardware.
- Operate and automate test equipment in a lab environment.
- Analyze, model, and simulate electronic designs.
- Diagnose hardware and process issues down to component level.
- Support production lines and testing, including supplier collaboration.
- Select components for electronic designs.
- Provide layout and routing support for printed circuit boards.
- Deliver factory, field, production, and supplier support domestically and internationally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
- Experience with RF, Microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Mixed Signal, Circuit Design, Power Electronics, VHDL, FPGA, or PCB design.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- 3.0 cumulative GPA from an ABET‑accredited institution.
- Coursework in digital, RF, analog, or power electronics.
- Laboratory experience with hardware/software integration, test equipment, and test automation scripting.
- Knowledge of circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
- Technical knowledge of electronic components and their applications.
- Experience with electro‑optical subsystems.
- Experience developing GPU applications using CUDA or OpenCL.
- Root‑Cause Corrective Action investigations and FRACAS processes.
Salary range: $57,200 USD – $108,800 USD.
