Systems Engineer
Position Summary
Principal Systems Engineer – Air Traffic Solutions (ATS) team, Marlborough, MA, USA (Onsite). Responsible for modernizing and deploying nationwide and international Air Traffic Control Radar Systems.
What You Will Do- Develop innovative solutions to customer challenges and craft system and product-level requirements.
- Define and verify requirements, creating rigorous sell‑off criteria to ensure high performance and safety standards.
- Lead modernizations and deployments of Air Traffic Control Radar systems across the US and internationally.
- Integrate multi‑platform air traffic systems that track commercial, military, and unmanned aircraft to meet future demands.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert and consultant to the Systems Engineering team, guiding decisions and best practices.
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret) is mandatory.
- Experience designing, integrating, and testing large complex radar systems.
- Proficiency with IBM DOORS, Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong technical documentation skills and ability to prepare and facilitate briefings for all stakeholder levels.
- Planning, developing, and executing system and subsystem level integration and test schedules.
- Data analysis using MATLAB or alternate tools.
- Use of RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
- Leadership experience managing teams of engineers.
- Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems.
- Travel availability: domestic and international up to 25% and occasionally more.
- Design, integration, and testing experience with Primary and Secondary Air Traffic Control Surveillance Radar systems.
- Agile Development Process experience.
- Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) expertise and familiarity with relevant tools such as Cameo.
- Support for U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) contracts.
- Experience with IFF and AIMS U.S. Government testing.

Location:
Marlborough, MA, USA. Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance.
