Radar Mechanical Design Section Lead
Position:
Section Lead (Onsite)
Location:
Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA (U.S.)Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship required; U.S. government security clearance (Secret) required from day 1.
- Set clear and measurable goals while effectively communicating with the team.
- Oversee performance, career development, and staffing needs of approximately 15 team members.
- Mentor the team on design, fabrication, testing, and installation of custom liquid‑cooled and air‑cooled systems.
- Manage performance development and appraisal, salary planning, and manpower planning.
- Contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide technical expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.
- Act as a liaison between team members and programs, ensuring alignment of assignments, recognition, and performance.
- Dedicate approximately 10% of time to leadership duties, with the remaining time focused on technical contributions.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in hardware engineering design, development, or production support of cooling equipment and systems.
- Leadership experience in frontline or project leader positions, or in performance development.
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related science.
- Strong interpersonal, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with performance development processes and experience working in a matrix environment.
- Proven ability to manage projects, lead teams, and foster collaboration.
- Experience in technical and cost proposal development and a focus on process improvements.
Salary Range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD (good faith estimate; based on experience, location, education, and skills).
