Principal Reliability Engineer Onsite

Principal Reliability Engineer – Surface Radars & Sensors Center

Marbleboro, MA;
Onsite; U.S. Citizen required;
DoD Secret clearance required.

• Conduct Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses, including reliability predictions and maintainability predictions.
• Perform Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analyses.
• Define and allocate RAM requirements.
• Assess RAM performance:
  Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF), and Operational Availability (Ao).
• Interpret data and analyze results.
• Ensure performance compliance to requirements.
• Maintain complex Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and system models.
• Support the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM work.
• Track Earned Value (EV) and provide accurate status on the schedule and budget for the RAM scope.
• Minimal travel (10%) to local Raytheon sites in the Northeast area.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Reliability, Failure Analysis, and/or Quality Engineering.
• Experience with Reliability Engineering concepts including reliability and maintainability predictions, FMECA/FDFI, RBDs, MTBF/MTBCF, and Ao.
• Experience presenting to Failure Review Boards.
• Electrical Engineering experience preferred; electrical engineering degree a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to present technical material to audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
