Position: Environmental Effect Engineer (E3)

Job Summary

The Antenna/Microwave and E3 Department provides innovative and affordable solutions across all business areas. We design phased-array antenna systems, develop active and passive microwave components, and support radar system life‑cycle phases worldwide. The role of the EMI Effects Engineer focuses on electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) across these systems.

What You Will Do
  • Provide technical conscience and ensure that products and processes meet appropriate E3 standards.
  • Balance risk conditions and constraints while advising leadership.
  • Serve as a visible and accountable technical decision‑maker.
  • Act as a primary technical contact with customers, addressing requirements, technical commitments, IRAD, and future technical needs.
  • Work across disciplines, interacting with Mechanical, Systems, and Electrical Engineering teams.
What You Must Have
  • Typically a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 1 year of relevant experience, including:
  • EMI/EMC analysis design and test.
  • Experience with MATLAB, ANSYS/HFSS, or CST Microwave.
  • Completed courses in Electromagnetic and/or Antenna theory.
  • Master’s degree in a chosen engineering/technical field (preferred).
We Prefer
  • Current DoD issued Security Clearance of Secret or higher.
  • Ability to provide detailed documentation for EMI test plans, procedures, and reports with minimal revision.
  • Strong analytical and customer‑focused communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
