Overview
The Precision Landing Product Directorate within Collins Aerospace Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead multiple programs across the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration & Coordination System (ATNAVICS) portfolio. This onsite role reports to RTX/Collins Aerospace and requires cost, schedule, and technical execution accountability, delivering excellence and strengthening customer relationships. The role emphasizes an execution-focused leadership style, autonomy, and executive presence to lead cross-functional teams.
The position may sit at Marlborough, MA;
Sterling, VA; or Aberdeen, MD with relocation not provided.
- Lead full lifecycle program management—from pursuit and capture through development, production, delivery, sustainment, and long-term strategic planning.
- Chair the cross-functional Program Management Team (PMT), ensuring effective contract management and performance across cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Serve as the primary customer interface, address needs, resolve concerns, and drive upgrades and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely technical execution across this system-of-systems portfolio.
- Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) for an assigned value stream or portfolio generating $10M+ in annual sales.
- Ensure effective risk mitigation, adherence to company policies, and alignment with broader strategic goals.
You Must Have:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in the military or aerospace/defense industry.
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7 years of experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience managing full lifecycle programs from capture through closeout.
- Ability to establish and sustain positive customer relationships.
- Proficiency with program management tools and processes including EVMS, IMP/IMS, and risk/opportunity management.
- Experience managing multiple contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, DCS, FMS).
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience working on radar or Air Traffic Control (ATC) programs across design, development, or production phases, including mobile ATC systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with USMC and USAF customers.
- Earned Value or Program Management certifications.
- Subcontractor management experience in support of technical development activities.
- Degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field.
- Tier 5 Raytheon Program Management Certification (or equivalent) or ability to complete within 12 months.
- Capture Management certification.
