Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) II

Responsibilities- Conduct briefings and presentations for multiple business levels.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for designated tools.
- Develop, implement, and support technical standards.
- Provide strategic direction to drive technological innovation.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to design and deploy secure solutions.
- Evaluate new technology, perform gap analysis and risk assessments.
- Advise on customer discussions, negotiations, approvals and related tasks.
- Capture efficiencies, cost offsets, and savings for competitive advantage.
- Lead cybersecurity projects with cost‑benefit and risk management analysis.
- Support enterprise initiatives to evolve mission‑critical programs.
- Travel up to 10% of the time for business needs.
- University Degree (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Experience in Cyber / Systems Security, Network Architecture, or Technology.
- Experience implementing compliance regulations such as NISPOM, DAAPM, JAFAN, ICD, FAA, HIPAA, and other government requirements.
- Within six months of hire, obtain and maintain a security‑professional certification at DoD 8570.01‑M IAM level III (CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or CCISO).
- Experience with change management or architectural governance.
- Ability to tailor technical discussions for diverse audiences and create security whitepapers and concepts of operations.
- Experience with COTS information‑security applications (endpoint security, SIEM, vulnerability management, encryption, antivirus).
- Familiarity with project‑management and collaboration tools (SharePoint, MS Project, JIRA, Azure Dev Ops).
- Experience with SIEM tools.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, DoDAF).
- Knowledge of containerization and related technologies (Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker).
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMWare, Nutanix).
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and deployment models.
- Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500.
