Principal System Administrator
Location:
Marlborough, MA, USA — Full Time, Onsite, U.S. Citizen required (Secret clearance)
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Apply knowledge of Windows Server internals and Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
- Work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, technology‑focused team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to high‑scope technical problems involving hardware and operating systems integration.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
- Produce documentation and conduct training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
- Obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within six months of start date.
- Support systems operating 24/7, including occasional work beyond standard hours.
- Travel up to 10% per year to other U.S. domestic locations as business needs dictate.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience.
- Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience in scripting and automation.
- Proficiency in help‑desk operations, ticket troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Experience collecting audit logs and performing system hardening.
- Transferable current U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Technical SME or primary point of contact for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives.
- Experience with VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle management, host upgrades).
- Experience with system hardening, STIG/EVAL STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
- Experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise Windows services (Active Directory, Group Policy, identity integration).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling (ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, audit support processes).
- Relocation eligible.
