Location:
Tewksbury, Massachusetts, USA (Onsite Position)
Security Clearance:
Requires an active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government clearance and U.S. citizenship. DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) must be active on start date.
Principal System Administrator supporting a Raytheon Special Access Program in Tewksbury. Responsible for building, maintaining, and securing information technology systems that directly support customer mission‑critical capabilities.
Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and secure Information Technology systems and directly support customer mission‑critical capabilities.
- Partner with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions to system problems.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements; systems operate 24x7 and may require work beyond standard hours.
- Provide occasional after‑hour maintenance and on‑call support; lift hardware installations up to 35 pounds.
- Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. - Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date.
- Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX, or other virtual computing methods.
- Experience with Windows and/or Red Hat Linux.
- Active, transferable Top Secret clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory, VMware administration, backup, and recovery.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems efficiently.
Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
