Senior Manager, System Administration; ONSITE

Salary Range: USD 132,400 – 251,600 annually

• Develop and lead a high-performing team; oversee performance management, task assignment, training, and onboarding to ensure alignment with Raytheon's vision and values.
• Manage the implementation of IT projects and system administration functions.
• Partner with stakeholders—including peer groups, Program Leads, Cyber Teams, and Engineering—to enable seamless Digital Technology service delivery and technology evolution.
• Assess whether new program requirements can be met by existing infrastructure or if new/modifications to PWE are required, considering cost impacts.
• Develop and maintain hardware and software refresh/replacement plans to support program lifecycle needs.
• Assign and monitor projects and tasks using JIRA and JIRA Service Management.
• Manage and record employee performance.
• Create and submit periodic status reports and accomplishments to the next level of leadership.
• Ensure information systems are operational 24x7, occasionally requiring work beyond standard work hours.
• Administer time reporting, training, recruiting, and onboarding of new employees.
• Travel up to 25% of the time, mostly within a 45–90 minute drive to other RTX locations in MA and RI.
• Maintain a 100% onsite presence.

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Must have an active and transferable Secret security clearance issued by the U.S. government.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with IT System Administration duties.
• Experience managing, supervising, or leading a team in technological environments.

• Experience managing teams in a high‑pace Agile / Dev Sec Ops  environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting tasks and initiatives.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change with peers and leaders across the organization.
• Ability to understand complex issues, develop effective solutions, and drive timely resolution.
• Innovative and strategic thinker.
• Technical experience with computer infrastructure including Windows and Linux servers, storage, virtualization/cloud technologies, networking systems, directory services management, and system hardening.
• Experience with JIRA, JIRA Service Management, and Confluence.
• Knowledge of DFARs, CMMC, RMF, DAAPM, and JSIG requirements and controls.
