Position: Program Operations Manager (Onsite)

Position

Program Operations Manager – Strategic Communications (Resilient Connectivity Products portfolio)

Location

Marlborough, MA (Onsite; up to 20% travel; relocation assistance may be available)

Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship required. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret) required prior to start date.

What You Will Do
  • Oversee and coordinate execution aspects of ongoing projects and services as liaison between program management team and support functional organizations.
  • General management and creation of artifacts for manufacturing strategy planning, proposals, early gate reviews, financials, infrastructure/capital projects, appropriation requests.
  • Develop and manage operations content in proposals (recurring and nonrecurring basis of estimate) and program EACs.
  • Identify, monitor, and report on program risks and opportunities and support Program Risk Review Board for new products.
  • Engagement in product development, producibility, testability and define how/where to “Make” product.
  • Kick‑off operations program planning at Gate 5 for new programs and assure manufacturing readiness.
  • Engage with engineering and supply chain on requirements flow‑down for operations and supply‑chain partners.
  • Engage in program test and manufacturing readiness reviews and ensure alignment to manufacturing plan and support of factory requirements.
  • Support creation and execution of hardware maturation plans.
  • Work with engineering and influence product designs to achieve cost and schedule targets through Design for Manufacturing & Cost workshops, producibility/affordability studies, transition to production (TTP) planning and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) implementation.
  • Report on program contract on‑time delivery (OTD) performance for both CMC and non‑CMC products.
  • Support Gate 11 activities at close of development/EDM/production contracts.
Qualifications
  • University degree and at least 8 years relevant experience or advanced degree and at least 5 years experience.
  • Manufacturing operations experience.
  • Leaning manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
Desired Qualifications
  • Product development experience.
  • Proven experience in transition to production, MRL/TRL assessments.
  • Proven experience developing proposals and basis of estimate.
  • Proven experience in change management and handling ambiguity.
  • Earned value management certification.
  • Program schedule integration experience.
  • Six Sigma qualified or equivalent engineering/manufacturing operations leadership experience inclusive of new product introduction program leadership or material program management.
  • Working knowledge of SAP/PRISM.
  • Master’s in Engineering or Business Administration.
