The Strategic Communications Team is seeking a Systems Engineer committed to creating creative and cost-effective solutions for our ground and airborne systems. This role supports a variety of communications systems including SATCOM, LOS radio terminals, and secure switching networks.
What You Will Do- Aid in the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to validation.
- Support lab activities including definition, setup, configuration management, and testing.
- Integrate solutions within their target environment.
- Execute integration, dry run, and formal qualification testing.
- Document minor changes in systems or processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness.
- Communicate with team members within and outside the team.
- Analyze and document system behaviors.
- Support system trade studies, requirements analysis, allocation to subsystems.
- Define hardware and software interfaces.
- Strong integration and test experience including test procedure development, test execution, test reporting, and test automation.
- Proficient in tooling to include Microsoft products, or tasking boards (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.).
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in communication radio and systems: SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, PTW, or V/UHF.
- Experience in system level integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) for ground-based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms.
- Experience in environmental qualification testing (EQT).
- Agile working environment experience.
- Test automation experience in a CI/CD environment.
- Experience in systems support to software application and hardware development.
- Experience in system or application integration.
- Experience in virtual machine design and deployment.
- Experience in scripting.
Salary range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD per year.
