Role Overview
Radar Software Integration Engineer at RTX, Ground and Maritime Defense Radar Software department, Marlborough, MA. On‑site position requiring U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities- Integrate, test, and troubleshoot complex radar software in a Continuous Development/Continuous Integration environment.
- Execute and monitor automated tests, triage failures, and write trouble reports for subject‑matter experts.
- Create and update automated analysis scripts (primarily in MATLAB) to improve test coverage.
- Enhance system stimuli and add instrumentation for continuous performance metrics.
- Integrate new software functionality, develop associated automated test stimuli, and maintain baseline performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering disciplines to define integration objectives and resolve integration issues.
- Mentor less experienced engineers.
- Participate in Agile software engineering practices.
- Document integration methodology, test results, and troubleshooting steps.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in STEM and at least 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience in software integration and troubleshooting, preferably in real‑time or radar systems.
- Knowledge of C++ or Java, and at least one high‑level programming language.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Interim Secret clearance before the start date.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience developing and testing radar/sensor systems or real‑time signal processing.
- Proficiency in multithreaded C++ testing and debugging.
- Automated test creation and maintenance.
- MATLAB, Python, Perl or Linux shell scripting.
- Linux command‑line proficiency.
- Version control systems such as Git or Clear Case.
- Exposure to network protocols, DDS, Grafana, Jenkins.
- Agile methodologies, Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and autonomous problem‑solving skills.
On‑site working in Marlborough, MA. Relocation eligible. Competitive salary range of $86,800 – $165,200 (USD).
