Education and Certifications- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s in the content area
- Must possess or be eligible for one of the following CTSDE Certifications
- (165/065) Comprehensive Special Education, K-12
Salary: Salary, work year and working conditions will be in accordance with the current contract between the Board of Education and the Suffield Educators Association.

Reports ToReports to: Building Administrator/Director of Special Services
Position Expectations- Ability to design instruction to meet the needs of all students through small group/co-taught settings in alignment with the general education curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to write accurate and thorough assessment reports, IEPs and progress reports.
- Ability to positively engage teachers, students and families in the learning process.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve learning for all students.
- Ability to use data to make instructional decisions.
- Ability to build organizational capacity around best practices, literacy instruction and intervention based on our continuous improvement work.
- Ability to administer, analyze and interpret comprehensive academic and social emotional evaluations.
- Demonstrates knowledge of special education regulations and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to assess student learning on a continual basis and identify areas of intervention if needed.
