Field Engineer
Suffolk, VA
A Field Engineer acts as the glue that unites the team by translating information between office engineers and the field crew. Field Engineers know what is happening on site and have the ability to fill gaps and support the team to ensure success and efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGYou will be on the field day‑to‑day, ensuring that the work being done by our team and subcontractors meets engineering specifications. Other duties may include handling important documents and ensuring that the correct materials are being received and stored correctly.
Examples of daily tasks:
- Surveying and lay‑out job site.
- Processing and reviewing shop drawings.
- Updating as‑built documents.
- Auditing completed construction.
- Completing daily and periodic report updates.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or another related field and be willing to travel and work the days and hours required to ensure the project's success. This position is perfect for someone seeking entry‑level project management experience with an industry leader.
