REPORTINGThis position reports directly to the Service Manager at the Chesapeake, VA branch.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIREDPrior pest‑control experience and sales experience are a plus but not required. The company provides comprehensive classroom and field training to ensure success.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONTo support the organization’s sustainability goal by selling new services and renewing existing client relationships through inspections, estimates, and ongoing service.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES- Interact regularly with customers to troubleshoot problems and explain service details.
- Work outdoors for most of the day.
- Lift at least 50 lbs.
- Apply liquid treatments to soil.
- Enter data and documentation into mobile devices for services performed.
- Maintain flexibility to work Monday through Saturday during the summer season.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand simple safety, regulatory, or protocol documents.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Practical problem‑solving and effective reasoning.
- Pass a series of examinations as part of New Hire Training.
- Clean driving record.
- Pass a background check.
- Pass a drug screen.
Training will be conducted through Insight’s online University Program, with monitoring by the Service Manager and Lead Technician and ongoing support and supervision. The role requires courteous, respectful, and friendly customer service to ensure quality customer interactions.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSINGAll candidates must either possess an existing license/certification or obtain one with company training assistance.
