Teacher Visually Impaired; TVI

Position: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) -26/27
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across a school district.

This role offers the opportunity to provide itinerant services to a diverse caseload while working in a collaborative and student-focused educational environment.

* Pay Rate: $42-$47 per hour

Responsibilities

* Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments

* Travel between school sites to deliver itinerant support

* Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

* Collaborate with related service providers, teachers, and families

* Adapt instructional materials to ensure accessibility for students

* Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed

* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines

Requirements

* Active Virginia Department of Education license in Visually Impaired Students required

* Minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience required

* Experience writing and implementing IEPs required

* Strong collaboration and communication skills

* Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple sites

* Must be comfortable working onsite and traveling within the district
