Salary: $17.82 per hour – $19.43 per hour

The Children's Center Head Start/Early Head Start is a federally funded program that provides no‑cost services to qualifying families who reside in the community. Comprehensive services are provided to pregnant women and their partners and children from birth to 5. Child development, health and family services are provided through a variety of program options designed to meet the needs of low‑income and at‑risk families.

• Ensure all Virginia Licensing and Head Start/Early Head Start regulations are followed to ensure child safety and to maintain a high‑quality classroom.
• Communicate directly with parents to build healthy partnerships that promote the child’s success and healthy development.

We are most interested in applicants who…

• Have 1–3 years of experience leading a classroom and have strong classroom management skills.
• Have CPR/First Aid training.
• Flexibility with work hours and scheduling.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Has familiarity in Virginia Licensing regulations.

Qualifications:

• Early Childhood Education Preschool Certificate or an Associate's Degree in any field or higher.
• 1–3 years of experience in an early childhood setting is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
