• To support the delivery of project and company goals, ensure work is completed on time.
• To ensure that all work scope is completed in a safe manner, ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric, or the environment.
• Read, understand and implement all applicable company and project policies, working practices and procedures, always ensuring that the plating/structural, including welding/tacking, work scope is completed to a high standard.
• Complete all assigned work scope in accordance with any applicable work pack instructions, associated procedures and drawings/sketches
• Ensure and comply with all Risk Assessments/ Method Statements and Permit to work to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
• Measure/ Mark plate, beams, sections for cutting
• Flame cut steel plate/ beams and sections
• Dress cut edges and prep cut items for welding
• Assemble components to required tolerances
• Tack weld components into positions
• Weld components that the fabricator is qualified to weld, that will meet NDT requirements.
• General set-up and maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring appropriate use and storage

• Level 3 NVQ in fabrication & welding, or equivalent qualification
• Experience in working on site, ideally within construction
• 5 GCSEs or equivalent in any subject area, including English and Maths.
• 3 years' experience in admin/project support
• Computer literate with proficiency in the MS suite, particularly word and excel
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills and adaptability to a wide range of stakeholders
• Flexibility and a proactive nature, seeking the solution before the problem arises
• The ability to build relationships and support the wider mission

EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C and plans for a new power station at Sizewell C in Suffolk.
